Accessibility
Alketo is built to be usable without looking at the screen. This page says what we have actually tested, and what we have not.
What is tested
Every screen of the app has been gone through with VoiceOver on both iPhone and iPad, including deleting the app and completing the first run without looking. The most recent passes found nothing blocking.
Earlier passes did find real problems: icons being read aloud that should not have been, the translation itself not being announced when it arrived, and no way to change the speaking rate. Those are fixed.
VoiceOver and Dark Interface are declared on the App Store listing for both iPhone and iPad.
What we have not tested
Larger Text is not something we have been able to verify, so we do not claim it.
We are sighted. Testing with VoiceOver switched on is not the same thing as depending on it, which is why we would rather have this judged than claimed.
What we would like to hear
If a control is mislabelled, if the app goes quiet where it should speak, or if something simply takes more gestures than it should — tell us. Write to support@alketo.app.
